Undertone Co. started with a simple observation: not every truth needs to be shouted to be heard.

Some of the most meaningful things people carry, a hope, a conviction, a quiet kind of trust, aren't the kind of thing you announce. They're the kind of thing you live. A color you choose. That's where the name comes from. An undertone is the note underneath the note; present, real, shaping everything, without needing to be the loudest thing in the room.
